“As a new mom, I was struggling from day one with breast feeding my daughter. Neither my lactation consultant at the hospital, nor my pediatrician diagnosed her with a tongue and lip tie. I struggled to understand why she was inefficient at removing milk from my breast and I felt so much pain. It wasn’t until one day around 6 months old, I examined her myself and realized she was both lip and tongue tied. This discovery sent me on a quest of learning and educating myself on how common this is and how it continues to go undiagnosed. In that moment, I decided that I needed to help moms struggling with the same thing. This is why I started Untie Baby.” - Dr. Prokopets
